The Glenfiddich Distillery, founded in 1886 and situated in the Scottish burgh of Dufftown in Moray, is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery under the ownership of William Grant & Sons. Its name, Glenfiddich, originates from the Scottish Gaelic term Gleann Fhiodhaich, translating to “valley of the deer,” a significance echoed in Glenfiddich’s emblem featuring a stag. Founded in 1886 by William Grant in the glen of the River Fiddich, Glenfiddich is still family owned.
Glenfiddich offers a 1.5 hour Distillery tour and a 2.5 hour Soledad: Deconstructed Tour, which includes a visit to warehouse 8 and the Malt Master’s Blending Room. Tours can be booked online, and the distillery can accommodate mobility issues with advance correspondence to Glenfiddich.bookings@wgrant.com.
